About NISPA Board Members
NISPA is led by a team of parents from different Independent Schools.
They organize and execute a variety of events as well as promote membership and participation of Independent Schools Parent Associations.
EMILY DELANEY
THE COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL
CHAIR
Emily has been a member of the NISPA board for the past 3 years, acting as Social Media Coordinator and Vice Chair.
Emily is a Country Day School Parent Association Past President. She has been on the CDS Parent Executive for the last six years in capacities such as Grade Parent Coordinator, Volunteer Coordinator and Vice-President. From the first day of her daughter starting junior kindergarten at CDS, Emily has been actively involved in the community; volunteering as grade parent, assisting with the preowned uniform sale, making phone calls to welcome new families, helping with annual Auction set up, attending parent socials & coffee mornings.
Professionally, Emily has worked in both the nonprofit & for profit sectors in a business development capacity. Currently she is lending her talents to Minelec Ltd where she is heading up business development and marketing. She holds a Masters from the University of Michigan.
In her free time you will find Emily enjoying being on Georgian Bay or the Gulf of Mexico with her family and friends. When she's not there you will find her listening to an audio book or podcast while hiking with her dog.
ANDREA MCQUEEN
APPLEBY COLLEGE
VICE CHAIR
Andrea is the proud mom to two amazing boys, Matthew ('26) and Ethan ('29), currently attending Appleby College. Over the past few years, Andrea has been actively engaged in the Fern Hill and Linbrook School Parent Associations and has most recently served as the Fundraising Chair for the Appleby College Parents' Association. She has enjoyed volunteering as a New Parent Buddy, organizing the ACPA ski trip, and working in the college shop.
Andrea holds a BA in Sociology from Dalhousie University, and a postgraduate degree in Education from Medaille College. After spending a decade teaching in underserved communities, she returned to school to train as an interior designer and has recently retired. Andrea is passionate about community engagement and enjoys volunteering for many different organizations. In her free time, Andrea finds inspiration by travelling, staying active outdoors, and cheering her boys on in their various sports.
KATHY VUCIC
APPLEBY COLLEGE
PAST CHAIR
Kathy has been part of the Appleby College community since 2019. She is the mother of four amazing boys: Oliver (graduated '23), Carter (graduated '24), Spencer ('26) and Hunter ('27).
Over the past few years at Appleby, Kathy has had the opportunity to volunteer in many areas including College Shop, Walkathon, Welcome Home BBQ, parent social party, and act as a new parent buddy. This year she is the President of the ACPA. Before attending Appleby, her boys attended Charles Beaudoin PS and Kathy was a member of Parent Council and organized the Summer BBQ for several years.
Kathy holds an honours BA in English and Political Science from McMaster University. She went on to receive a post grad diploma in Marketing from Sheridan College and worked for several companies in marketing and events before having children. After her fourth son, Kathy went on to become a registered Holistic Nutritionist and focuses on using her knowledge every day when planning family meals.
She enjoys being outdoors, from her morning coffee on the porch to running with friends and walking her two dogs. Kathy loves reading and is a member of several book clubs to stay connected with friends, wine and Indigo. She loves spending time with family and travelling whenever and wherever she can.
Kathy is looking forward to stepping into the role of Past Chair, on the NISPA Board, this year. It is an honour and privilege to work among so many talented individuals at NISPA!
STEPHANIE CHAN
HOLY TRINITY SCHOOL
TREASURER
Stephanie has three children at Holy Trinity School. She has been an active member of the school community since 2015 and she has been volunteering at various events at school. Stephanie previously held a position in the Parent Association as the Director of Grade Parents Program and Communications Coordinator from 2020-2023. Stephanie joined NISPA this year as a co-Treasurer, she is looking forward to working alongside with all the amazing members from different schools.
Stephanie graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University in Economics. In her previous corporate roles, Stephanie served in the financial industry with accounting and client relationships experience in Toronto and Hong Kong.
Stephanie strongly believes that volunteering is the best way to give back to the community and a perfect way to get her children involved. She enjoys activities with her family including sports and travelling.
CLODAGH WILSON
APPLEBY COLLEGE
SECRETARY
Clodagh has been part of the Appleby College community since 2018. She is the mother of two wonderful children: Ryan ('21) who is in his third year of BBA/Co-op at Wilfred Laurier University, and Kate ('23) who has just started BMOS at the University of Western Ontario.
Over the past several years, Clodagh has had the opportunity to volunteer in many areas at Appleby College such as co-chairing the school walkathon, planning the annual ski day, supporting homecoming initiatives, spirit days and drive thru coffee moorings. As a member of the ACPA (Appleby College Parent Association) Executive for three years, she was responsible for the grade parties and annual staff appreciation luncheon, as well as the residential life initiatives for the school’s boarding students. She loved being a part of such a dynamic and supportive school community.
Clodagh holds an honours BA from the University of Western Ontario and a post graduate diploma in Public Relations from Ryerson University (Toronto Metropolitan University). She spent two decades working as a brand and content marketing specialist with organizations such as Rogers, Canadian Tire and Air Miles.
Clodagh is passionate about giving back to her community and actively participates in many local charitable organizations.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, skiing, hiking, swimming and being outdoors. She loves spending time with family and friends.
Clodagh is excited to be joining the NISPA executive this year as Secretary. She is looking forward to working with so many talented individuals to continue to help build a strong community that fosters learning, sharing of best practices, and networking.
KRYSTIE ROBINSON-VINCENT
PICKERING COLLEGE
COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE CHAIR
Krystie Robinson-Vincent, RN PhD, is the Past President of NISPA and has been involved with NISPA for the past 11 years. She has served as the President (2018-2019, 2020-2021), Vice President (2017-2018), Past President (2019-2020, 2021-2022), as well as Communications (2014-2024) and Social Media Coordinator (2014-2020).
Krystie is the Chair of the Pickering College Association and has enjoyed this position for the past five years. Krystie has also chaired the Staff Appreciation Committee at Pickering College and is the Food and Entertainment Coordinator for the Holiday Home Tour. Krystie also sits on the Gala Committee and serves as the Coordinator for the Entertainment Committee. She has chaired the Holiday Home Tour for three years and the Spring Luncheon for two years. In terms of other volunteer involvement, Krystie currently volunteers to manage both of her son's Rep Hockey teams.
Krystie is a Professor in the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences. She teaches courses in Non-Communicable Diseases, Pathophysiology, Research Methods, and Graduate seminars on Knowledge Translation.
Krystie is married with two sons aged 15 and 17 who have attended Pickering College since Junior Kindergarten. She loves spending time outdoors — hiking, cycling, swimming, and loves to travel with the favourite destination of the family in Turks and Caicos and England to visit family members.
ALEX TINKER
TRINITY COLLEGE SCHOOL
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE CHAIR
Alex Tinker is pleased to serve a second year on the NISPA board as membership committee chair. As a proud parent of two Trinity College School students, Kate ('28) and Robert ('31), Alex has been deeply involved in the TCS community since 2020. Her contributions to Trinity College School include her current role as Vice President of the TCS Parents' Guild, her past leadership as chair of the social committee organizing events for TCS parents, her service as a Class Parent as well as volunteering at the many events held for TCS students throughout the year.
Alex's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science from McGill University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa. She worked as a high school science teacher in Toronto until Alex and her family relocated from Toronto in 2020. They now split their time between Port Hope and Orono, where she enjoys hiking and snowshoeing in the Ganaraska Forest, skiing at Brimacombe ski hill, exploring new places through travel, and dedicating her free time to writing fiction.
LIPSICA RORE
RIDLEY COLLEGE
MEMBERSHIP COMMITTEE MEMBER
Lipsica Rore epitomizes the intersection of philanthropy, community engagement, and education, bringing a mosaic of experience and fervour to her role as Vice President of the Ridley College Family Guild.
Lipsica holds a postgraduate degree in Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, specializing in the intricate mechanics of the human body. Additionally, she possesses a degree in Hospital Administration, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of healthcare systems and organizational management.
As a proud parent and devoted wife, she has a wonderful 11-year-old son Varnit Rore who attends Ridley College. Varnit is a Taekwondo Black Belt Den 2 and has been a part of various Tournaments being in Ridley team for Squash and Tennis. Spending quality time with him is her utmost priority, whether it's traveling to new destinations, playing tennis together, or indulging in their shared love for flying.
With a proven track record in healthcare management, Lipsica has successfully owned and operated a chain of clinics, overseeing their day-to-day operations with precision and care. Her leadership extends beyond healthcare, as she has also served on the board of the Fort Erie Tennis Club, contributing to the promotion of sportsmanship and community engagement. Additionally, Lipsica has utilized her platform to empower women through a leading NGO, where she spearheaded initiatives to train more than 10,000 women in India with various self-help groups, promoting economic independence and empowerment.
Lipsica is deeply invested in health and wellness within her community. She has organized seminars on healthy living, focusing on topics such as posture and ergonomics for both adults and children. Furthermore, Lipsica is passionate about the healing power of art and has conducted workshops on using art as a form of therapy. She is also certified as an Etiquette Consultant for adults and children, emphasizing the importance of social grace and manners in today's society. She has been actively involved in organizing various school and guild fundraisers, as well as social events like Bowling socials and community food drive programs at Ridley College. These initiatives have not only strengthened bonds among parents, students, and faculty but have also played a vital role in enriching the educational experience for all members of our school.
In conclusion, I am eager to bring my passion for education, community, and empowerment to the Network of Independent School Parent Association. I am confident that my diverse experiences and unwavering commitment to serving others will make a meaningful contribution to the ongoing success of NISPA and its mission.

Nicol has been a member of NISPA for the last five years and spent three years on the executive in various capacities. She will join as an Events Committee Member to support the association's initiatives in the upcoming school year. Her passion for service and community has led to several volunteer roles within CIS schools. Nicol is a Past President of The Sterling Hall School Parents Association and served on the Parent Executive for six out of her seven years at the school in capacities such as Grade Representative Coordinator, Vice-President and President. She has supported the SHS Buddy Program over the years which helps to welcome and onboard new families into the community as well as frequently holding a Grade Representative role and co-chairing various community events over the years. At The Bishop Strachan School, Nicol has served as Grade Representative with the BSS Parents Association, volunteered with the Buddy Program to support incoming families and will serve on the PA Executive for a second term this coming fall. At Upper Canada College, Nicol has held a position on the Parent Prep Organization Advisory Committee, and she looks forward to her new role as Vice President of the PPO in the 2024-25 school year.
Nicol is a SickKids Innovator, a program that engages philanthropists who are passionate about children's health and well-being. Nicol holds a Specialist Degree in International Relations with a minor in Spanish Literature from the University of Toronto Trinity College. When Nicol is not engaging in her 'sports mom' duties, she enjoys gathering with family and friends, reading with her book club, and travelling.
CHERYL LEWIS SMITH

Cheryl is excited to join the NISPA board as an Events Committee Member. She is looking forward to working with the NISPA community to develop fun and informative events to bring the community together.
Cheryl is married and has three sons. Her youngest son currently attends Appleby College (class of 2025) and her two older sons are now pursuing their postsecondary education. Cheryl has been a volunteer in the Appleby community for over 10 years, serving in various capacities on the parent association and assisting with many committees and school events.
Cheryl holds a BScN from the University of Western Ontario and worked for several years in healthcare and retail management before leaving the workforce to raise her sons. Three years ago, Cheryl obtained her Real Estate licence and is currently working for a large regional developer as well as pursuing her own Real Estate business.
Cheryl enjoys spending time in Collingwood with her family, skiing at Blue Mountain and walking her two dogs. She is also an avid gardener, baker and reader.

Jing Guo immigrated to Canada from China in 2010. She has two children in grade 10 & 12 in Hillfield Strathallan College and has been volunteering at the school since they first joined and she loves it. Jing loves to read, travel, ski, and golf. She has a master’s degree in marketing. She loves volunteering as it gives her the opportunity to meet lots of amazing people and get inspired by them.

Sadia was born and raised in Pakistan. She completed her MBA from QAU before moving to USA. She moved to Canada 17 years ago, is a mother of 3 kids, 2 of whom are at HSC. Sadia loves networking with other schools for ideas and how to incorporate them in the best way possible.

Jennifer has been a Senior Medical Device Territory Manager with Boston Scientific for twenty-one years and has recently expanded her role to include Field Sales Trainer. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Dalhousie University.
Jennifer has four children; her daughters are students at Canada’s National Ballet School (‘25 & ‘27). Jennifer’s oldest son is a student at St. Andrew’s College (‘29) and her youngest son is a student at Pope Francis (‘33).
During her son’s first year at St. Andrew’s College, she was involved supporting the Parent Guild Social Media activities, including the Christmas Market, Red & White Gala, Sponsorship, Acquisitions and Publicity.
Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family & friends, walking her 3-year-old Australian Labradoodle and Pilates classes.
Jennifer is excited to join this talented group of parents and looks forward to her new role as Social Media Chair, NISPA.
TANYA GIAQUINTO
APPLEBY COLLEGE / ST. MICHAEL'S COLLEGE SCHOOL
MEMBER AT LARGE
Tanya has served on different boards including St. George's Nursery School, both grade school and high school parent associations in different positions and chaired the BRICKS Award Committee for multiple years and is assisting the committee this year. She was a registered dietitian for approximately 20 plus years creating and giving presentations on a variety of health and wellness topics in business, non-for-profit settings, and school settings covering all age groups. This also included food demonstrations on eating well and nutritional counselling. She spent many years doing outreach presentations for Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre. She retired from the profession to focus on other projects. One of her favourite roles was being the cheerleader for both her son's and daughter's sports teams and educational pursuits.
Tanya Giaquinto is also a Grindstone Award Foundation Board Member in her role as Outreach helping girls play hockey and participates in multiple committees. Her volunteer experience with Grindstone started off at the Laura Stacey Sticks for Charity in 2019 selling apparel and she was hooked. She is also a board member at the Brampton Canadettes Girls Hockey Association as well as a volunteer for Wickfest.
Tanya sat on the NISPA board managing different committees working with a great group of volunteers and school PA members. Tanya has two children her daughter Tamara who attended Appleby is now attending Boston University and will complete her Masters in the Questrom business program while being the captain of her a Division I hockey team. Matthew graduated from St. Mike's and is now in his third year at Laurier University BBA coop program and participating in intramural sports and many business clubs.
When she is not volunteering, Tanya enjoys reading, taking walks, travelling to Italy to visit family practising her Italian, listening to music and podcasts. She is still a member of the St.Mike’s Book Club that encourages parent’s of alumni to attend.
I am so grateful to be working with this team in their ongoing effort to support all PA and guild volunteers! She is excited for her new role supporting all board members and attending NISPA events.
